My name is Odin Sun. I started taking photos on a safari in Kenya, using a camera my mom handed me. I was fifteen. I didn’t know exactly what I was doing, but I liked how it felt.

Now I am seventeen, and I currently live in New York. My work lives under the name solview, which comes from the Latin word for sun, sol, and my perspective. solview is about paying attention. I photograph people and landscapes, usually in everyday spaces. My favorite moments are the quiet ones, when someone’s just waiting for the train or walking home from the store. I think those moments are worth keeping.

I shoot digital. What matters to me is exposure and how well I understand the subject. I don’t need a perfect setup. I just want the image to feel honest. Photography is one of the few things that makes me slow down, think, and actually enjoy the process.
